| SpinTek ST II HIGH SHEAR ROTARY MEMBRANE FILTRATION SYSTEM This innovative system uses membranes which have been bonded to two sides of a disk. Multiple disks are mounted on a hollow shaft that rotates the membrannes at velocities up to 60 ft/sec. Stationary turbulent promotors are mounted near the rotary membranes to create high shear and turbulence.. The shear keeps the membrane surface clean to maximize filtrate throughput while allowing high concentration of solids to build up in the concentrate. Energy is directly applied to the turning membrane disk so no power is lost through high flow rate pumps or other process inefficiencies. The system can concentrate difficult feed solutions including oily waste water, kaolin, latex, calcium carbonate, yeast, radioactive precipitate. SpinTek INTEGRATED TUBULAR / ROTARY / RO MEMBRANE SYSTEM For difficult to treat oily wastewater or other harsh industrial applications. This hybrid system takes the concentrate stream (20%) from the tubular system and further concentrates the solids up to 60% producing a paste or slurry. The permeate from both systems can be polished with an RO unit if desired. |
